Why we built it
Modern storefronts depend on analytics, advertising pixels, chat tools, review widgets, tag managers, and platform code. Each script expands the browser-side supply chain, while most merchants have no reliable inventory of what is running.
We built StorefrontShield to make that invisible layer understandable: a readable inventory, an integrity baseline, and evidence of change.
How a scan works
- A real browser visits the public URL you submit and attempts to discover representative product, collection, and cart pages.
- External and inline scripts observed on that page are inventoried and fingerprinted.
- Known services are grouped into plain-English categories.
- Unrecognized sources and later changes are highlighted for human review.
What we do not do
A free scan is passive and read-only. It does not exploit vulnerabilities, submit forms, authenticate, enter checkout, or modify the storefront. StorefrontShield is not a Qualified Security Assessor and does not issue PCI certifications.
